Spectators: 160 (Terracing: 120, Seating: 37, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Rickard Hedlund started the match with the kick off. In the 5th minute, Sven-Ove Berggren ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonatan Andersson was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Bengt-Åke Thidén could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but John Brandt made a huge save. The supporters of Elmtaryd Agunnaryd booed when Linköpings AIK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rickard Hedlund didn't get a good kick on the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Linköpings AIK's goal looked a bit too open when Kurt-Jürgen Hamrin came free, but Jonatan Andersson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rickard Hedlund scored 1-1 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of John Brandt, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. John Brandt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rickard Hedlund, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 18th minute, Ted Kiempe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Elmtaryd Agunnaryd getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Erik-Jan Edman hit a great ball. Jonatan Andersson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Herman Falkrantz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herman Falkrantz in the 32nd minute of play forced Linköpings AIK's goalkeeper Jonatan Andersson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Linköpings AIK's zone, Sven-Ove Berggren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonatan Andersson came out of the goal and Sven-Ove Berggren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 42 minutes into the match, Linköpings AIK's goal looked a bit too open when Herman Falkrantz came free, but Jonatan Andersson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Linköpings AIK getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Olov Bock hit a great ball. Hugo Hellqvist took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 44th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jonatan Andersson. Linköpings AIK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. John Brandt was a little too slow when Bengt-Åke Thidén got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 45th minute. The score was now 2-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Herman Falkrantz to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rickard Hedlund in the 52nd minute of play forced Elmtaryd Agunnaryd's goalkeeper John Brandt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Elmtaryd Agunnaryd's Henrik Berggren got a free kick in the 52nd minute. If Bengt-Åke Thidén had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonatan Andersson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kurt-Jürgen Hamrin in the 59th minute of play. Kurt-Jürgen Hamrin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jonatan Andersson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Örjan Östman in the 62nd minute. If Örjan Östman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kurt-Jürgen Hamrin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Bengt-Åke Thidén fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Linköpings AIK's protests and gave Bengt-Åke Thidén a yellow card for diving instead. Jens-Ola Alebeck kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Herman Falkrantz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Jonatan Andersson made a huge save. The supporters of Elmtaryd Agunnaryd booed when Linköpings AIK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oscar Simonsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ove Björck struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Jonatan Andersson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Elmtaryd Agunnaryd. Jonatan Andersson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Herman Falkrantz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Ove Björck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Örjan Östman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonatan Andersson having to interfere. 95 minutes into the match, Linköpings AIK's goal looked a bit too open when Herman Falkrantz came free, but Jonatan Andersson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
