The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, NovaStella FK's Tim Sandell sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leo Sjöberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 5 minutes into the match, Mikael Duset notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Hawelka Himalayan High's Leo Sjöberg. Leo Sjöberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 8th minute, Alexander Magnusson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of NovaStella FK booed when Hawelka Himalayan High was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gottfrid Almkvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Sven-Åke Hellström's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leo Sjöberg was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. In the 19th minute, Tobias Kullgren ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leo Sjöberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Tom Larsfält might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Patrick Almkvist. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tom Larsfält ran back to his position shaking his head. Felix Söderberg hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Sven-Åke Hellström's late challenge caught a Hawelka Himalayan High's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sven-Åke Hellström helped the player get up and apologised. In the 28th minute, Sven-Åke Hellström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Patrick Almkvist made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Tom Larsfält sent off a good shot on target. Hawelka Himalayan High's Leo Sjöberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven-Åke Hellström in the 35th minute of play. If Andreas Stålman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leo Sjöberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sven-Åke Hellström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sven-Åke Hellström to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Hawelka Himalayan High getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Måns Rosen hit a great ball. Tom Larsfält struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Patrick Almkvist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hawelka Himalayan High. In the 57th match minute, NovaStella FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Söderberg to maneuver through the defense. When Måns Rosen fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hawelka Himalayan High's protests and gave Måns Rosen a yellow card for diving instead. In the 60th minute, Måns Rosen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 61 minutes into the match, NovaStella FK's Sven-Åke Hellström broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After a defensive mix-up in NovaStella FK's zone, Gottfrid Almkvist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Patrick Almkvist came out of the goal and Gottfrid Almkvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 65 played minutes NovaStella FK got a freekick which was hit by Mikael Duset. Patrick Almkvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tom Larsfält, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. 73 minutes into the match, Tom Larsfält had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Patrick Almkvist. NovaStella FK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tom Larsfält was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Tim Sandell hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Karl-Magnus Ekberg kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. 86 minutes into the match, Hawelka Himalayan High's goalkeeper Leo Sjöberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sven-Åke Hellström. Leo Sjöberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sven-Åke Hellström's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 88 minutes into the game, when Alexander Magnusson put in a rough tackle. In the 90th minute there was a penalty for NovaStella FK. Sven-Åke Hellström stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Leo Sjöberg. 1-3. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tom Larsfält during the 97th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Hawelka Himalayan High getting a freekick after 98 minutes play. Tom Larsfält hit a great ball. The Hawelka Himalayan High supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching NovaStella FK's performance. The match ended with a win for NovaStella FK.
