Brian Fribäck made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Brian Fribäck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Magne Frykberg in the 37th minute of play. When Olof Dalberg fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Garphyttan's protests and gave Olof Dalberg a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Garphyttan getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Olof Dalberg hit a great ball. Jonsereds IF's Henrik Mårtensson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Börje Näver in the 43rd minute of play. In the 47th minute, Birger Mattsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 48th minute, Stig-Åke Hedlund got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

Sebastian Wennerström hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. 58 minutes into the match, Garphyttan's Vilhelm Lindström broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Brian Fribäck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Verner Nordin in the 78th minute of play. 83 minutes into the game, Aleksander Aleberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jonsereds IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Garphyttan the free kick. Brian Fribäck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Verner Nordin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 91 minutes into the match, Jonsereds IF's goal looked a bit too open when Gottfrid Lundkvist came free, but Henrik Mårtensson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 92 minutes into the game, Birger Mattsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Garphyttan's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jonsereds IF the free kick.
