The referee felt a red card was in order, 3 minutes into the game, when Michel Pihlgren put in a rough tackle. In the 2nd minute, one of Jonsereds IF:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Jonsereds IF. Bengt-Rune Broberg shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Magne Frykberg's late challenge caught a Kattvik kings's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Magne Frykberg helped the player get up and apologised. Kattvik kings made a substitution. Simon Colin replaced Jonas Bergkvist. After 7 played minutes Jonsereds IF got a freekick which was hit by Magne Frykberg. Jonsereds IF's Henrik Mårtensson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Jonsereds IF from getting a goal against them. In the 13th minute, Kattvik kings's Simon Colin dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. A collision led to Jonsereds IF getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Verner Nordin hit a great ball. The Jonsereds IF fans' excitement grew in the 21st match minute when Jonsereds IF's Magne Frykberg looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Magne Frykberg scored 1-2 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Helge Elg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Helge Elg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Magne Frykberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Simon Colin kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. After 40 played minutes Jonsereds IF got a freekick which was hit by Aleksander Aleberg. Henrik Mårtensson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Karl-Åke Johansson in the 42nd minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Magne Frykberg was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Kattvik kings getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Simon Colin hit a great ball. After 54 played minutes Jonsereds IF got a freekick which was hit by Joakim Pettersson. Hubert Holm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henrik Mårtensson having to interfere. In the 68th minute, Gösta Jakobsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 72nd minute, Stig-Åke Hedlund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bengt-Rune Broberg scored 2-2 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Henrik Mårtensson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Henrik Mårtensson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hubert Holm went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. Bengt-Rune Broberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Henrik Mårtensson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Helge Elg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Magne Frykberg's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. In the 91st minute of the match, Magne Frykberg tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Helge Elg saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Jonsereds IF players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Kattvik kings.
