But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonathan Hård couldn't finish the play. If Jonathan Hård had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 30 minutes into the game, Richard Sörman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Garphyttan's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sannegården BK the free kick. Brian Fribäck had in the 31stth minute some difficulties stopping Nils-Emil Björkdal's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Olof Björnberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Fritz Bållström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Michael Blomqvist kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Andréas Widberg hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Garphyttan's Andréas Widberg got a free kick in the 41st minute. A collision led to Garphyttan getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Andréas Widberg hit a great ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nils-Emil Björkdal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nils-Emil Björkdal in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Brian Fribäck prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Olof Dalberg got free with Fritz Bållström in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Andréas Kleen hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Olof Björnberg's late challenge caught a Sannegården BK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Olof Björnberg helped the player get up and apologised. In the 64th match minute, Garphyttan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olof Björnberg to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Nils-Emil Björkdal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sannegården BK's supporters rose to their feet, but Nils-Emil Björkdal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Brian Fribäck breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Olof Björnberg hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. In the 69th minute, Charlie Öfverman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Charlie Öfverman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience was convinced that Charlie Öfverman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Brian Fribäck was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. Josef Strömbom charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Josef Strömbom the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The Sannegården BK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. With 90 minutes on the clock, Birger Mattsson commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Garphyttan fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 89th minute. Penalty!
