A collision led to Hartlepool getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Christian Browald hit a great ball. In the 13th minute of the match Tor Modig shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Birger Hedman showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Wiktor Söderqwist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kristoffer Åberg in the 14th minute. After a rather tough play, Real Södertälje's Tor Modig got a free kick in the 18th minute.
