The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Fågelmara IK's goal looked a bit too open when Claes Stålberg came free, but John Granberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 5 minutes into the match, Börna Bulldogs's goal looked a bit too open when Karl-Ove Kullgren came free, but David Lindell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Börna Bulldogs's Richard Bergman got a free kick in the 6th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl-Ove Kullgren in the 7th minute of play forced Börna Bulldogs's goalkeeper David Lindell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Josef Gallin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but John Granberg made a huge save. In the 15th minute Emil Alström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but John Granberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Börna Bulldogs defense, Karl-Ove Kullgren kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of David Lindell. The Börna Bulldogs fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that David Lindell should have stopped the shot. In the 24th minute, Börna Bulldogs's Joakim Kilström seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Joakim Kilström the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Börna Bulldogs protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Joakim Kilström had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Börna Bulldogs fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 23rd minute. Penalty! The referee gave Fågelmara IK a penalty, 25 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Krister Lundström, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Börna Bulldogs's David Lindell. 0-2. Alfred Hansson charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alfred Hansson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 28th match minute, Fågelmara IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfred Hansson to maneuver through the defense. After 30 played minutes Börna Bulldogs got a freekick which was hit by Jesper Ahlqvist. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Karl-Ove Kullgren managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fågelmara IK's supporters rose to their feet, but Karl-Ove Kullgren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. David Lindell breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fågelmara IK's Krister Lundström got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Börna Bulldogs getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Jesper Ahlqvist hit a great ball. David Lindell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Esbjörn Bergstedt in the 38th minute of the match. Karl-Ove Kullgren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Lindell having to interfere. The Börna Bulldogs players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Fågelmara IK were winning 0-2.

The wind increased when Krister Lundström made the kick off in the second half. Malte Fastesson hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. In the 59th minute Claes Stålberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but John Granberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Börna Bulldogs booed when Fågelmara IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rutger Skytt didn't get a good kick on the ball. David Lindell made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Per-Oskar Borre sent off a good shot on target. John Granberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Josef Gallin in the 73rd minute of play. Karl-Ove Kullgren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but David Lindell made a huge save. If Josef Gallin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. David Lindell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Krister Lundström in the 84th minute of play. In the 87th minute, Per-Oskar Borre made a precise shot to the right of David Lindell. Börna Bulldogs's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. The supporters of Fågelmara IK booed when Börna Bulldogs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claes Stålberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Fågelmara IK eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
