Kjell-Arne Hultman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Well-Well Welle, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. MAFFIAN's Sylvester Stallone couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 45th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Pajala Sunrise. Kjell-Arne Hultman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Walter Tinglöf in the 48th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jean-Claude Van Damme to make the kick off. Axel Ros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Max Håning in the 52nd minute of play. Sylvester Stallone sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ingmar Nordström during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 81 played minutes, MAFFIAN's Kent Hultman shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Axel Ros came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in MAFFIAN reached it. Axel Ros was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Arnold Schwarzenegger showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-4 in the 83 minute of play. 89 minutes into the match, MAFFIAN's goal looked a bit too open when Well-Well Welle came free, but Kjell-Arne Hultman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing MAFFIAN would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
