Spectators: 161 (Terracing: 121, Seating: 37, VIP seats: 3) Gigel Urduban started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 3rdth minute of the game Nichifor Borogeanu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Carpathian Wolves's Ionică Alb was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Vintilă Ignea's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lucrețiu Manolache read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. Carpathian Wolves were awarded a corner in the 6th minute after FC Politehnica Timisoara's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Nicu Steriopol took the corner. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Vintilă Ignea got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 0-1. 6 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nichifor Borogeanu got free with Ionică Alb in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nicu Isăilă during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Nicu Isăilă kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. After 15 minutes of play, FC Politehnica Timisoara's Nichifor Borogeanu made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ionică Alb was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 18th match minute, FC Politehnica Timisoara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicu Isăilă to maneuver through the defense. Lucrețiu Manolache made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Constantin Hidișan in the 22nd minute of play. Ionică Alb made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nichifor Borogeanu in the 24th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nichifor Borogeanu in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ionică Alb prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 27th minute of the match, Nichifor Borogeanu tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ionică Alb saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Nichifor Borogeanu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 28thth minute, Ionică Alb skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nichifor Borogeanu in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ionică Alb saved Carpathian Wolves from getting behind. The supporters of Carpathian Wolves booed when FC Politehnica Timisoara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudiu Azamfirei didn't get a good kick on the ball. The long shot by Flavius Amarandei in the 38th minute really tested Ionică Alb's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 41 minutes into the match, FC Politehnica Timisoara's goal looked a bit too open when Constantin Hidișan came free, but Lucrețiu Manolache reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Constantin Hidișan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Lucrețiu Manolache tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nichifor Borogeanu to strike the kick off in the second half. Ionică Alb took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nichifor Borogeanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 53 minutes into the match, Carpathian Wolves's goal looked a bit too open when Nichifor Borogeanu came free, but Ionică Alb reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carpathian Wolves's Ionică Alb played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nichifor Borogeanu in the 57th minute of play. 63 minutes into the match, Carpathian Wolves's goal looked a bit too open when Pompiliu Pantiș came free, but Ionică Alb reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 67th minute Nichifor Borogeanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ionică Alb saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gigel Urduban received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Lucrețiu Manolache came out and tried to block the shot, but Gigel Urduban slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 68th minute. If Constantin Hidișan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 75th minute, Nichifor Borogeanu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ionică Alb was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Vintilă Ignea kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. In the 80th minute, Nichifor Borogeanu made a precise shot to the right of Ionică Alb. Carpathian Wolves's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. A collision led to Carpathian Wolves getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Doru Ghiondea hit a great ball. After having played for 87 minutes, Constantin Hidișan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carpathian Wolves's supporters crossed their fingers, but Constantin Hidișan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ionică Alb showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nichifor Borogeanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nichifor Borogeanu in the 93rd minute of play forced Carpathian Wolves's goalkeeper Ionică Alb to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 94th minute, Sabin Ciomag hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The FC Politehnica Timisoara players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
