The referee ignored Soca's protests and gave Mircea Encioiu a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Soca's Mircea Encioiu got a free kick in the 19th minute. Remus Manciulea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexandru Anton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The wind increased when Ovidiu Zorlescu made the kick off in the second half. If Panait Teodoroiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Ovidiu Zorlescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Soca's supporters rose to their feet, but Ovidiu Zorlescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dumitru Nedelciu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Remus Manciulea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexandru Anton in the 86th minute of play. 88 minutes into the match, Soca's goalkeeper Remus Manciulea had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Remus Anghelescu. After some careless play in the Soca defense, Lucian Ipate kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Remus Manciulea. The Soca fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Remus Manciulea should have stopped the shot. When the match was over FC Liverpool YnWa could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Soca throughout the match.
