Aurelian Damian was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Irinel Nițescu fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Peretu City 09's protests and gave Irinel Nițescu a yellow card for diving instead. Ioan Georgescu shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. The wind increased when Codrin Remus made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Codrin Remus got free with Aurelian Damian in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Codrin Remus in the 53rd minute of play forced Peretu City 09's goalkeeper Aurelian Damian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aurelian Damian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pompiliu Pantiș in the 66th minute of the match. Aurelian Damian came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Politehnica Timisoara's Codrin Remus. But to his dismay, Codrin Remus quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Peretu City 09's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Politehnica Timisoara the free kick. The supporters of FC Politehnica Timisoara booed when Peretu City 09 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eduard Răduț didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 95 minutes, Adam Ştefănescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peretu City 09's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adam Ştefănescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Peretu City 09 fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. FC Politehnica Timisoara were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
