Spectators: 160 (Terracing: 120, Seating: 37, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Albert Panaitoiu started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, MIT's Andrei Ciocâltea sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ionuț Moșneanu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 5 played minutes MIT got a freekick which was hit by Damian Bădiță. Ionuț Moșneanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laurențiu Ene in the 7th minute of the match. Basarab Gavra charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Basarab Gavra the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 11th match minute, RED BLUE STAR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Basarab Gavra to maneuver through the defense. Andrei Ciocâltea took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ionuț Moșneanu. Ionuț Moșneanu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After 18 minutes, Mădălin Corocăescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MIT and the RED BLUE STAR players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 18th match minute, MIT was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mădălin Corocăescu to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Albert Panaitoiu in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leonard Cutean prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 21 minutes into the match, RED BLUE STAR's goal looked a bit too open when Laurențiu Ene came free, but Ionuț Moșneanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ionuț Moșneanu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Andrei Ciocâltea's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. In the 27th minute Albert Panaitoiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonard Cutean saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, RED BLUE STAR's goal looked a bit too open when Laurențiu Ene came free, but Ionuț Moșneanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Albert Panaitoiu managed to get in a good position for a shot. RED BLUE STAR's supporters rose to their feet, but Albert Panaitoiu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leonard Cutean breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ionuț Moșneanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laurențiu Ene, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Albert Panaitoiu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Leonard Cutean made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albert Panaitoiu in the 43rd minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Laurențiu Ene stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Albert Panaitoiu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The RED BLUE STAR fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Costel Cezariu made in the 57th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by RED BLUE STAR's Basarab Gavra. Laurențiu Ene hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. A collision led to MIT getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Nicolae Encuțu hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laurențiu Ene in the 64th minute of play forced RED BLUE STAR's goalkeeper Ionuț Moșneanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of RED BLUE STAR booed when MIT was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mădălin Corocăescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Victor Răcănel came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the RED BLUE STAR fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Victor Răcănel couldn't finish the play. If Laurențiu Ene had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ionuț Moșneanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laurențiu Ene in the 80th minute of the match. Andrei Ciocâltea could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Ionuț Moșneanu made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albert Panaitoiu in the 85th minute of play forced MIT's goalkeeper Leonard Cutean to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 91 played minutes MIT got a freekick which was hit by Petre Prislop. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
