The Club Atlético Timișoara fans' excitement grew in the 18th match minute when Club Atlético Timișoara's Valer Deliman looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Rareș Fânaru struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Calistrat Trişcu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Atlético Timișoara. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Manuel Vulpescu in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Calistrat Trişcu saved Rasti AS from getting behind. A collision led to Club Atlético Timișoara getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Gabriel Răchitan hit a great ball. After the first half Club Atlético Timișoara were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eugen Băbescu made a kick off. Calistrat Trişcu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valer Deliman in the 51st minute of the match. 55 minutes into the match, Rasti AS's goalkeeper Calistrat Trişcu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rareș Fânaru. Club Atlético Timișoara's supporters crossed their fingers, but Iustin Buligan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vintilă Ielciu really showed his touch with that goal: 0-7. Club Atlético Timișoara's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
