Stelian Tonegaru made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Francisc Bocșan kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nechifor Ciurea in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stelian Tonegaru prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Anton Griguță kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Tiberiu Ştati took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 18th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Stelian Tonegaru. Arabesque -MM-'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Arabesque -MM-'s Stelian Tonegaru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nechifor Ciurea in the 21st minute of play. Francisc Bocșan kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. The supporters of Arabesque -MM- booed when F.C CLUJ MEDICINA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nechifor Ciurea didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcel Maghear in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mihail Onaca prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Nechifor Ciurea's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Stelian Tonegaru was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. Iacob Irimescu charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Iacob Irimescu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to F.C CLUJ MEDICINA getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Iacob Irimescu hit a great ball. With a little luck, F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's Mihail Onaca got control of the ball when Marcel Maghear tried to sneak it across the goal line.

In the 54th minute, Nechifor Ciurea left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The F.C CLUJ MEDICINA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. With his leg Stelian Tonegaru managed to avoid a goal in the 58thth minute, when F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's Nechifor Ciurea fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 62nd minute, F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's Nechifor Ciurea ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Stelian Tonegaru. Stelian Tonegaru yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. In the 68th minute, Liviu Teodoreanu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mihail Onaca was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. 71 minutes into the match, Arabesque -MM-'s goalkeeper Stelian Tonegaru had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Iacob Irimescu. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Costică Darabonț managed to get in a good position for a shot. F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's supporters rose to their feet, but Costică Darabonț was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stelian Tonegaru breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A hard shot 82 in the game by Iacob Irimescu from a close distance when the talented Stelian Tonegaru managed to make a qualified save. Arabesque -MM-'s players were relieved. 83 minutes into the match, F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's goal looked a bit too open when Liviu Teodoreanu came free, but Mihail Onaca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aurel Onciu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mihail Onaca having to interfere. 89 minutes into the match, F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's goal looked a bit too open when Aurel Onciu came free, but Mihail Onaca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Arabesque -MM- defense, Nechifor Ciurea kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Stelian Tonegaru. The Arabesque -MM- fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Stelian Tonegaru should have stopped the shot. The F.C CLUJ MEDICINA supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing F.C CLUJ MEDICINA would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
