Spectators: 159 (Terracing: 120, Seating: 36, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Florin Tărău started the match with the kick off. After 3 minutes, Florin Tărău mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Alex Team and the Republica Ploiești players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 3 played minutes Alex Team got a freekick which was hit by Florin Tărău. After some careless play in the Alex Team defense, Luca Gavrilescu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lucrețiu Arseanu. The Alex Team fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lucrețiu Arseanu should have stopped the shot. Vintilă Baldu's late challenge caught a Republica Ploiești's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vintilă Baldu helped the player get up and apologised. In the 9th minute, one of Alex Team:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Alex Team. Alex Team:s Lucrețiu Arseanu showed great skill when he stopped Cazimir Mohora:s penalty. In the 14th minute, George Ivăncioiu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 23 minutes, Luca Humă managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alex Team's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luca Humă was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pompiliu Hâncu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florin Tărău, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Lucrețiu Arseanu made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Lucian Luțu sent off a good shot on target. After 34 played minutes Republica Ploiești got a freekick which was hit by Lucian Luțu. 35 minutes into the game, Costel Lepuș was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Republica Ploiești's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alex Team the free kick. Costel Lepuș kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. In the 37th minute, Niculae Ştercă sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Republica Ploiești's Pompiliu Hâncu didn't even have to move. George Ivăncioiu charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed George Ivăncioiu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. George Ivăncioiu hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Florin Tărău struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Pompiliu Hâncu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alex Team. Republica Ploiești's George Ivăncioiu shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 44th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Lucrețiu Arseanu but with some difficulty. In the 45th minute, Luca Gavrilescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 47 minutes, Lucian Luțu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Republica Ploiești's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucian Luțu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

51 minutes into the match, Republica Ploiești's goal looked a bit too open when Florin Tărău came free, but Pompiliu Hâncu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 60th match minute, Republica Ploiești was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luca Gavrilescu to maneuver through the defense. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Alex Team's goalkeeper Lucrețiu Arseanu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Lucian Luțu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew the final whistle, Republica Ploiești could leave the field as winners, despite Alex Team having more of the ball for most of the match.
