Dan Godeanu started the match with the kick off. Iordache Sfârlea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucian Luțu in the 9th minute of the match. Uptown Otters were awarded a corner in the 12th minute after Republica Ploiești's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Matei Mischie took the corner. The audience was convinced that Aristide Crivac's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pompiliu Hâncu was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aristide Crivac in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pompiliu Hâncu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Republica Ploiești's Ioan Brânza got a free kick in the 31st minute. 37 minutes into the match, Dan Godeanu notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Uptown Otters's Iordache Sfârlea. Iordache Sfârlea was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ioan Brânza in the 41st minute of play forced Uptown Otters's goalkeeper Iordache Sfârlea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 44th match minute, Republica Ploiești was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Doru Brânzeu to maneuver through the defense. In the 45th minute of the match Matei Mischie shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pompiliu Hâncu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aristide Crivac to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Aristide Crivac shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pompiliu Hâncu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Doru Brânzeu hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Republica Ploiești's Pompiliu Hâncu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aristide Crivac in the 58th minute of play. A collision led to Uptown Otters getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Vlad Oancea hit a great ball. Republica Ploiești's Ioan Brânza got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 66th minute, Matei Mischie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 70 minutes into the game, Uptown Otters's Aristide Crivac nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pompiliu Hâncu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. When Dan Godeanu came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Republica Ploiești fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dan Godeanu couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Uptown Otters getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Matei Mischie hit a great ball. Dan Godeanu struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Iordache Sfârlea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Republica Ploiești. When Dan Godeanu came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Republica Ploiești fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dan Godeanu couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Republica Ploiești booed when Uptown Otters was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matei Mischie didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 94 played minutes Republica Ploiești got a freekick which was hit by Dan Godeanu. In the 97th minute Sergiu Ştef shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pompiliu Hâncu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
