To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 89th match minute, Alex Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Niculae Ştercă to maneuver through the defense. 92 minutes into the match, Florin Tărău notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Fotbal Club Vaslui's Gigel Rânceanu. Gigel Rânceanu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Alex Team support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
