In the 9th minute, Eduard Panciu fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Pompiliu Hâncu, passed just outside the right post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ferdinand Arnăuțoiu during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 12th match minute, Republica Ploiești was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ferdinand Arnăuțoiu to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Republica Ploiești's zone, Basarab Logofeteanu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pompiliu Hâncu came out of the goal and Basarab Logofeteanu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 15th minute Basarab Logofeteanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pompiliu Hâncu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, Dan Godeanu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Francisc Trăilă. Romanian Gods™'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dan Godeanu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. If Manuel Trifan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pompiliu Hâncu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Basarab Logofeteanu in the 23rd minute of the match. Pompiliu Hâncu made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Eduard Panciu sent off a good shot on target. After 30 played minutes Romanian Gods™ got a freekick which was hit by Cezar Sfârlea. Sebastian Hoduț kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. 41 minutes into the match, Eduard Panciu notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Republica Ploiești's Pompiliu Hâncu. Pompiliu Hâncu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Manuel Trifan's late challenge caught a Romanian Gods™'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Manuel Trifan helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Republica Ploiești's Manuel Trifan got a free kick in the 44th minute. After having played for 45 minutes, Basarab Logofeteanu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Romanian Gods™'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Basarab Logofeteanu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eduard Panciu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Manuel Trifan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Republica Ploiești's Cazimir Mohora got a free kick in the 54th minute. In the 55th minute of the match Irinel Poenaru shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pompiliu Hâncu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Republica Ploiești's Pompiliu Hâncu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduard Panciu in the 62nd minute of play. In the 63rd match minute, Republica Ploiești was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastian Hoduț to maneuver through the defense. Republica Ploiești's Ioan Brânza was substituted for Nichifor Micescu. Basarab Logofeteanu struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Pompiliu Hâncu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Romanian Gods™. Pompiliu Hâncu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luca Huștea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Romanian Gods™ getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Irinel Poenaru hit a great ball. Pompiliu Hâncu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Irinel Poenaru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Romanian Gods™ were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Republica Ploiești to leave the ground with a draw.
