If Lucian Molodețiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to English Fire getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Costică Cioroianu hit a great ball. Emanuel Predescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Calistrat Herescu made a huge save. Dumitru Cezariu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Calistrat Herescu made a huge save. Thanks to some nice moves Emanuel Predescu could shoot a difficult shot in the 25th minute, which Calistrat Herescu however easily saved by the left post. 27 minutes into the match, Silviu Buzatu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Costică Puișoru. English Fire's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Silviu Buzatu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. With a little luck, Romos FC's Calistrat Herescu got control of the ball when Emanuel Predescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 34th minute of the match, Emanuel Predescu got a very nice opportunity to score, but Calistrat Herescu was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emanuel Predescu in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Calistrat Herescu saved Romos FC from getting behind. 36 minutes into the match, Romos FC's goalkeeper Calistrat Herescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Emanuel Predescu. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dinu Radu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. English Fire's Costică Puișoru proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save English Fire from getting a goal against them. 55 minutes into the match, Romos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Emanuel Predescu came free, but Calistrat Herescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Calistrat Herescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emanuel Predescu's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. In the 96th minute Dinu Radu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Calistrat Herescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the English Fire players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
