In the 6th match minute, LIVERPOOL FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin Buteanu to maneuver through the defense. 8 minutes into the game, one of FC Ruscova:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Niculae Andronescu had in the 9thth minute some difficulties stopping Tudor Pintilescu's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Niculae Andronescu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tudor Pintilescu went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 13th minute, Iosif Filipoiu fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. A collision led to LIVERPOOL FC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Martin Buteanu hit a great ball. Niculae Andronescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tudor Pintilescu in the 20th minute of the match. 21 minutes into the match, LIVERPOOL FC's goal looked a bit too open when Iosif Filipoiu came free, but Dorel Bunescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Niculae Andronescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Horea Mititelu's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. Niculae Andronescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horea Mititelu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC Ruscova's Niculae Andronescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tudor Pintilescu in the 46th minute of play.

LIVERPOOL FC made a substitution. Mugur Martinaș replaced Remus Papaiani. After having played for 52 minutes, Iosif Filipoiu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Ruscova's supporters crossed their fingers, but Iosif Filipoiu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to LIVERPOOL FC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Robert Horia hit a great ball. In the 54th minute, Maxim Hâjdău got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A sloppy throw-in by Vintilă Gherase in the 57th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by FC Ruscova's Mihnea Puric. Marian Rada kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tudor Pintilescu during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Maxim Hâjdău took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 61st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dorel Bunescu. LIVERPOOL FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Dorel Bunescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iosif Filipoiu in the 65th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Marian Rada's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dorel Bunescu was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. If Marian Rada had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
