Spectators: 159 (Terracing: 120, Seating: 36, VIP seats: 3) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Dorel Tărâţă kicked off to start the match. Mihai Teodoreanu hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. In the 6th minute Dorel Tărâţă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Costică Puișoru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dorel Tărâţă kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. With a little luck, Balavanis's Emanuel Goiciu got control of the ball when Emanuel Predescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 10th match minute, English Fire was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dinu Radu to maneuver through the defense. In the 16th match minute, English Fire was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gigel Turcescu to maneuver through the defense. After taking down the ball on Balavanis's corner Irinel Vărzaru fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Costică Puișoru quite easily take care of the ball. If Emanuel Predescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 48th minute Dinu Radu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuel Goiciu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dinu Radu was the one to do the kick off. In the 58th minute, Valer Hăulică hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dorel Tărâţă got free with Costică Puișoru in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 61st match minute, Balavanis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aron Bebeșel to maneuver through the defense. English Fire's Dinu Radu got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Irinel Vărzaru in the 69th minute of play forced English Fire's goalkeeper Costică Puișoru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 71 minutes, Valer Hăulică mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the English Fire and the Balavanis players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 75 played minutes English Fire got a freekick which was hit by Tiberiu Ciolofan. 86 minutes into the match, English Fire's goal looked a bit too open when Dorel Tărâţă came free, but Costică Puișoru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Costică Puișoru made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Mugurel Apostolescu sent off a good shot on target. Mugurel Apostolescu made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 94thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Costică Puișoru would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Balavanis played a much better game than English Fire and deserved their victory. The English Fire players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
