The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Valeriu Goma during the 2nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 11 minutes into the match, DINAMO PLOIESTI's goal looked a bit too open when Narcis Popoiu came free, but Gelu Galușcă reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gelu Galușcă made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nistor Iftimescu in the 14th minute of play. In the 72nd minute, Narcis Manolescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Daniel Chirea didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Valeriu Goma went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. 79 minutes into the game, Sebastian Pană cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Daniel Chirea was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Iacob Pârlea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 85 minutes of play, DINAMO PLOIESTI's Valeriu Goma made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Daniel Chirea was left in no man's land by his defense there! Valeriu Goma took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Daniel Chirea. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The DINAMO PLOIESTI fans cheered their team off the field, for while Club Vertigo had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
