Spectators: 161 (Terracing: 121, Seating: 37, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Augustin Horea started the match with the kick off. Augustin Horea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Marian Novăceanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Augustin Horea came free with the goalkeeper in the 17th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Marian Novăceanu could save by the left post. After 26 played minutes Club Sportiv Medgidia got a freekick which was hit by Stelian Hulubei. Sergiu Oneț received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Nicu Arghirescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gică Izvoranu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ferdinand Hidiș hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Sergiu Oneț took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nicu Arghirescu. Nicu Arghirescu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. FC Ruscova's Marian Novăceanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stelian Hulubei in the 43rd minute of play. Nicu Arghirescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sergiu Oneț, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Sergiu Oneț made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in FC Ruscova's zone, Ştefan Alupulesei stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marian Novăceanu came out of the goal and Ştefan Alupulesei tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mihnea Puric hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. After 55 played minutes, Club Sportiv Medgidia's Sebastian Matei shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Marian Novăceanu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Club Sportiv Medgidia reached it. In the 58th minute, Marian Rada had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Augustin Horea hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Romeo Ungur hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, FC Ruscova's Maxim Hâjdău tried to score from far away in the 61st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. A collision led to Club Sportiv Medgidia getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Aurelian Şantău hit a great ball. Gică Izvoranu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Nicu Arghirescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, FC Ruscova's Sergiu Oneț got a free kick in the 67th minute. In the 70th minute, Sergiu Oneț ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nicu Arghirescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Nicu Arghirescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gică Izvoranu in the 74th minute of play. Marian Novăceanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ştefan Alupulesei in the 75th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ştefan Alupulesei in the 81st minute of play forced FC Ruscova's goalkeeper Marian Novăceanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Club Sportiv Medgidia's Ferdinand Hidiș got his second yellow card of the match in the 83rd minute. The referee ordered Ferdinand Hidiș off the ground. FC Ruscova's Iosif Filipoiu managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Flavius Băieșu in the 89 minute of the game. After 90 played minutes FC Ruscova got a freekick which was hit by Iosif Filipoiu. FC Ruscova played a much better game than Club Sportiv Medgidia and deserved their victory. The Club Sportiv Medgidia players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
