Spectators: 160 (Terracing: 120, Seating: 37, VIP seats: 3) Daniel Chirea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stelian Hulubei in the 4th minute of the match. 9 minutes into the match, Club Vertigo's goal looked a bit too open when Ştefan Alupulesei came free, but Daniel Chirea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Chirea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augustin Horea, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Daniel Chirea came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Sportiv Medgidia's Augustin Horea. But to his dismay, Augustin Horea quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Stelian Hulubei sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Club Sportiv Medgidia's Stelian Hulubei got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Club Vertigo's Daniel Chirea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stelian Hulubei in the 29th minute of play. Daniel Chirea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stelian Hulubei in the 31st minute of play. Stelian Hulubei received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Daniel Chirea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

After a rather tough play, Club Sportiv Medgidia's Sergiu Timaru got a free kick in the 51st minute. After 56 minutes, Nistor Iftimescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Vertigo and the Club Sportiv Medgidia players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 56th minute, Nistor Iftimescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Costică Dindelegan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Costică Dindelegan in the 59th minute of play forced Club Sportiv Medgidia's goalkeeper Nicu Arghirescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Octavian Mergea might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nicu Arghirescu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Octavian Mergea ran back to his position shaking his head. Club Vertigo's Daniel Chirea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augustin Horea in the 65th minute of play. Daniel Chirea was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Stelian Hulubei showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 74 minute of play. If Octavian Mergea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Club Vertigo getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Emanuel Negru hit a great ball. Club Vertigo's Daniel Chirea proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Club Vertigo from getting a goal against them. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Sportiv Medgidia's goalkeeper Nicu Arghirescu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Daniel Chirea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stelian Hulubei, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Club Sportiv Medgidia's Sergiu Timaru got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Club Sportiv Medgidia supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Club Sportiv Medgidia would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
