Spectators: 160 (Terracing: 120, Seating: 37, VIP seats: 3) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Valeriu Goma took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 13 played minutes Balavanis got a freekick which was hit by Aron Bebeșel. Mihai Teodoreanu struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Gelu Galușcă didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Balavanis. Dorel Tărâţă received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gelu Galușcă came out and tried to block the shot, but Dorel Tărâţă slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 23rd minute. 31 minutes into the match, DINAMO PLOIESTI's goal looked a bit too open when Dorel Tărâţă came free, but Gelu Galușcă reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th minute Sebastian Pană shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mihnea Baldovin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mihnea Baldovin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iacob Pârlea in the 40th minute of play. Mihnea Baldovin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Narcis Manolescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

After a rather tough play, DINAMO PLOIESTI's Nae Sticlaru got a free kick in the 52nd minute. If Emanuel Goiciu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gelu Galușcă took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Petrea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 67th match minute, Balavanis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Codrin Tilea to maneuver through the defense. With 69 minutes on the clock, Codrin Tilea commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 68th minute of the game. One of Balavanis:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of DINAMO PLOIESTI:s goal. Dorel Tărâţă's late challenge caught a DINAMO PLOIESTI's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dorel Tărâţă helped the player get up and apologised. Sebastian Pană was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 78th minute. DINAMO PLOIESTI's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 81st minute, Manole Chiper hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Valeriu Goma struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Mihnea Baldovin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for DINAMO PLOIESTI. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valeriu Goma got free with Mihnea Baldovin in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gelu Galușcă showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dorel Tărâţă, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Balavanis had played much better football throughout.
