Spectators: 160 (Terracing: 120, Seating: 37, VIP seats: 3) Iacob Roşulescu made the kick off and thus started the match. Horaţiu Frâncus short, quick shot in the 6thth minute got Costică Petran to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 12 minutes into the game, Emil Alexa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Bogdan Luican was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 17 minutes, Silviu Culcer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the UFC STEAUA and the GoalHunters players grew even worse after the yellow card. The audience thought a goal was coming when Horaţiu Frâncu got free with Costică Petran in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Costică Petran made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Calistrat Vişoiu sent off a good shot on target. UFC STEAUA's Costică Petran proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save UFC STEAUA from getting a goal against them. Emil Alexa kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iacob Roşulescu in the 25th minute of play forced UFC STEAUA's goalkeeper Costică Petran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. GoalHunters's Bogdan Luican played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emil Alexa in the 28th minute of play. The supporters of UFC STEAUA booed when GoalHunters was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Virgil Geoană didn't get a good kick on the ball. 36 minutes into the match, GoalHunters's goal looked a bit too open when Toader Ipate came free, but Bogdan Luican reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bogdan Luican made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Toader Ipate in the 37th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Horaţiu Frâncu got free with Costică Petran in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Horaţiu Frâncu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Iacob Roşulescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the UFC STEAUA defense, Horaţiu Frâncu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Costică Petran. The UFC STEAUA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Costică Petran should have stopped the shot. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eliodor Bărăian to strike the kick off in the second half. Bogdan Luican took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Toader Ipate, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bogdan Luican made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Toader Ipate in the 68th minute of play. After a rather tough play, GoalHunters's Virgil Geoană got a free kick in the 69th minute. 72 minutes into the game, Marius Isvoreanu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Costică Petran was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 76th minute Horaţiu Frâncu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Costică Petran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 77th minute of the match Marius Isvoreanu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Costică Petran skillfully saved the ball. Eliodor Bărăian kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iacob Roşulescu in the 81st minute of play forced UFC STEAUA's goalkeeper Costică Petran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. GoalHunters's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Iacob Roşulescu in the 82nd minute. After taking down the ball on GoalHunters's corner Iacob Roşulescu fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Costică Petran quite easily take care of the ball. GoalHunters's Bogdan Luican played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Toader Ipate in the 84th minute of play. Bogdan Luican made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Toader Ipate in the 87th minute of play. Moise Dăianu charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Moise Dăianu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Moise Dăianu kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. 94 minutes into the match, UFC STEAUA's goal looked a bit too open when Horaţiu Frâncu came free, but Costică Petran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Costică Petran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iacob Roşulescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. UFC STEAUA's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
