In the 9th minute, Radu Humă hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mihail Răica who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 12thth minute tested the skills of Alexandru Butuc when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Alexandru Butuc took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eusebiu Gliga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dorel Leucuța received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Alexandru Butuc tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 35th minute of the match, Cosmin Pumnu tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Alexandru Butuc saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 39 minutes of play, VIP's Ivan Baicea made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bogdan Ionițoiu was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match clock showed 43 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Eusebiu Gliga sped through VIP's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alexandru Butuc.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eusebiu Gliga was the one to do the kick off. Vasile Raicu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandru Butuc having to interfere. After a rather tough play, VIP's Radu Humă got a free kick in the 52nd minute. After 55 played minutes VIP got a freekick which was hit by Radu Humă. Basarab Bala hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. When Ivan Baicea fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored VIP's protests and gave Ivan Baicea a yellow card for diving instead. Ivan Baicea hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. In the 66th match minute, VIP was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Radu Humă to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Eusebiu Gliga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alexandru Butuc was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. VIP's Alexandru Butuc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vasile Raicu in the 69th minute of play. After 69 played minutes UFC Veseud got a freekick which was hit by Stelian Andriescu. After 72 minutes, Mihail Răica mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the UFC Veseud and the VIP players grew even worse after the yellow card. Bogdan Ionițoiu made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Anton Mahonea sent off a good shot on target. VIP's Pompiliu Dăscălescu got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 80th minute of the game. One of VIP:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of UFC Veseud:s goal. In the 88th minute, Vasile Raicu sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and VIP's Alexandru Butuc didn't even have to move. The supporters of UFC Veseud booed when VIP was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vali Magheran didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alexandru Butuc showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cosmin Pumnu, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. In the 96th minute of the match, Anton Mahonea got a very nice opportunity to score, but Bogdan Ionițoiu was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. UFC Veseud walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
