Spectators: 159 (Terracing: 120, Seating: 36, VIP seats: 3) Costică Mangra scored 0-1 in the 6th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Horia Găman, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 9th match minute, FC PIETROSUL -MM- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iacob Chinezu to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the FC PIETROSUL -MM- defense, Mugur Petruescu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Horia Găman. The FC PIETROSUL -MM- fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Horia Găman should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, UFC STEAUA's Corneliu Hurezeanu got a free kick in the 12th minute. UFC STEAUA's Felix Cosoreanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marius Lipan in the 13th minute of play. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when FC PIETROSUL -MM-'s Marius Lipan in the 26th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Felix Cosoreanu was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for UFC STEAUA through an amazing save. FC PIETROSUL -MM-'s Horia Găman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Costică Mangra in the 29th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mugur Petruescu in the 31st minute of play forced FC PIETROSUL -MM-'s goalkeeper Horia Găman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 37 minutes into the game, Costică Mangra cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Horia Găman was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Felix Cosoreanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marius Lipan, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. The FC PIETROSUL -MM- players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. UFC STEAUA were winning 0-3.

The wind increased when Marius Lipan made the kick off in the second half. Răzvan Şerbănescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Felix Cosoreanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 54th minute Răzvan Şerbănescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felix Cosoreanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Horia Găman made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Costică Mangra sent off a good shot on target. Costică Mangra was extremely unlucky when he, in the 64th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Corneliu Hurezeanu in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Horia Găman saved FC PIETROSUL -MM- from getting behind. In a very dangerous position, a player in UFC STEAUA fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 68th minute. Penalty! Marius Lipan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 78th minute, Marius Lipan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Felix Cosoreanu was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. Răzvan Şerbănescu struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Felix Cosoreanu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC PIETROSUL -MM-. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Costică Mangra in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Horia Găman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mugur Petruescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horia Găman having to interfere.
