Vali Jurcuț made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iustinian Tutuianu in the 11th minute of play forced FC Acatar's goalkeeper Vali Jurcuț to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 15 minutes into the game, Carpathians's Constantin Cârstea nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vali Jurcuț made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After 18 played minutes Carpathians got a freekick which was hit by Franco Barresi. If Răzvan Tastaman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Vali Jurcuț made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vasile Socoriceanu in the 25th minute of play. Constantin Cârstea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dorin Petrică made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Calistrat Boboc in the 30th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Francisc Ozon during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 32nd match minute, FC Acatar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francisc Ozon to maneuver through the defense. In the 32nd minute, Narcis Avramescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Acatar's Vali Jurcuț played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Constantin Cârstea in the 33rd minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Iustinian Tutuianu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vali Jurcuț. FC Acatar's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Iustinian Tutuianu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. After a defensive mix-up in FC Acatar's zone, Ştefan Cînu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vali Jurcuț came out of the goal and Ştefan Cînu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vali Jurcuț showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ştefan Cînu, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. After 45 minutes, Constantin Cârstea mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Carpathians and the FC Acatar players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to FC Acatar getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Emilian Barbosu hit a great ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Răzvan Tastaman to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Calistrat Boboc's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dorin Petrică was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. In the 80th minute, Vasile Socoriceanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, FC Acatar's Răzvan Tastaman got a free kick in the 83rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iustinian Tutuianu in the 91st minute of play forced FC Acatar's goalkeeper Vali Jurcuț to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carpathians's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
