Spectators: 174 (Terracing: 131, Seating: 40, VIP seats: 3) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Virgil Macrea got the match started through his kick off. Constantin Buzea hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Ike Schmeichel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristi Hagi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ion Blăjan's late challenge caught a F.C. YKE's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ion Blăjan helped the player get up and apologised. Ion Blăjan kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. After 23 played minutes F.C. YKE got a freekick which was hit by Dinu Frâncu. In the 26thth minute of the game Cristi Hagi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but F.C. YKE's Ike Schmeichel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the F.C. YKE defense, Costică Stoleru kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ike Schmeichel. The F.C. YKE fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ike Schmeichel should have stopped the shot. After 35 played minutes F.C. YKE got a freekick which was hit by Constantin Buzea. Ike Schmeichel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristi Hagi's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. Ike Schmeichel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristi Hagi, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. F.C. YKE's Ike Schmeichel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristi Hagi in the 44th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Costică Stoleru managed to get in a good position for a shot. -BZF- Valea Buzăului's supporters rose to their feet, but Costică Stoleru was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ike Schmeichel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. F.C. YKE's Florin Baba was substituted for Sorin Vermeşan. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Cristi Hagi made the kick off in the second half. Cosmin Galiceanu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Ike Schmeichel made a huge save. With a little luck, F.C. YKE's Ike Schmeichel got control of the ball when Cristi Hagi tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 62nd minute, Nicolae Boboc hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ike Schmeichel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Costică Stoleru went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Cristi Hagi's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ike Schmeichel firmly grabbed it by the left post. When -BZF- Valea Buzăului's Costică Stoleru in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye F.C. YKE's goalie prevented a goal. 80 minutes into the game, Pavel Soare was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. F.C. YKE's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave -BZF- Valea Buzăului the free kick. Silviu Ursulescu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 81st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ike Schmeichel. F.C. YKE's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cosmin Galiceanu got free with Ike Schmeichel in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of -BZF- Valea Buzăului booed when F.C. YKE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pavel Soare didn't get a good kick on the ball. F.C. YKE's Pavel Soare got his second yellow card of the match in the 97th minute. The referee ordered Pavel Soare off the ground. In the 98th minute, Pavel Soare hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cristi Hagi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ike Schmeichel having to interfere.
