Spectators: 174 (Terracing: 131, Seating: 40, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Cristian Ozon started the match with the kick off. Carpathians's Dorin Petrică played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Ozon in the 8th minute of play. 10 minutes into the match, Carpathians's goalkeeper Dorin Petrică had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Petru Hristea. Traian Tiţe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Dorin Petrică tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Kobra TEAM booed when Carpathians was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victor Păuceanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 20th minute, Cristian Ozon made a precise shot to the right of Dorin Petrică. Carpathians's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Aurel Opincaru kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silviu Drăgoescu in the 24th minute of play forced Kobra TEAM's goalkeeper Gavril Panțâru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 26 minutes of play, Carpathians's Silviu Drăgoescu made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gavril Panțâru was left in no man's land by his defense there! Through an outstanding action, after 31 minutes, Dorin Petrică successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Traian Tiţe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ionică Culcer during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ionică Culcer hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Traian Tiţe's late challenge caught a Carpathians's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Traian Tiţe helped the player get up and apologised. Traian Tiţe hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 50th match minute, Carpathians was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucian Giurgiu to maneuver through the defense. Silviu Drăgoescu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 54thth minute tested the skills of Gavril Panțâru when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 56 minutes of play, Kobra TEAM's Petru Hristea made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dorin Petrică was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dorin Petrică showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Ozon, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. In the 64th minute of the match Carpathians got a corner. Kobra TEAM's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Pavel Bara ran over to the corner to take the kick. Carpathians's Pavel Bara was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Gavril Panțâru in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 66th minute of the match Petru Hristea shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dorin Petrică showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 71 played minutes Kobra TEAM got a freekick which was hit by Eliodor Barbosu. Carpathians made a substitution. Costel Junilă replaced Marin Marinică. After a rather tough play, Kobra TEAM's Eliodor Barbosu got a free kick in the 72nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Ozon in the 76th minute of play forced Carpathians's goalkeeper Dorin Petrică to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Kobra TEAM getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Cazimir Botescu hit a great ball. A collision led to Kobra TEAM getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. After 84 played minutes, Carpathians's Pavel Bara shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gavril Panțâru came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Carpathians reached it. Iustinian Tutuianu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pavel Bara struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Gavril Panțâru didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Carpathians. Gavril Panțâru made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Silviu Drăgoescu sent off a good shot on target.
