Juventus PTM's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC BaLiSt the free kick. After 3 played minutes Juventus PTM got a freekick which was hit by Horaţiu Tinu. Ionuț Vizitiu struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Virgil Lixandru didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC BaLiSt. Virgil Lixandru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudiu Floreanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. The supporters of FC BaLiSt booed when Juventus PTM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mugur Silişteanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 15th minute, Mircea Irod hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leonard Baran made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cornel Bourceanu in the 16th minute. After 17 played minutes Juventus PTM got a freekick which was hit by Mugur Silişteanu. 21 minutes into the match, Claudiu Floreanu notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Juventus PTM's Virgil Lixandru. Virgil Lixandru was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some careless play in the Juventus PTM defense, Claudiu Floreanu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Virgil Lixandru. The Juventus PTM fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Virgil Lixandru should have stopped the shot. In the 34th minute, Cornel Doman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Juventus PTM booed when FC BaLiSt was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aron Constantiniu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cornel Bourceanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Leonard Baran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Claudiu Floreanu made a kick off. Cornel Bourceanu hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, FC BaLiSt's Mihăiţă Corbeanu got a free kick in the 53rd minute. In the 56th match minute, FC BaLiSt was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudiu Floreanu to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Pompiliu Lechințan managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC BaLiSt's supporters rose to their feet, but Pompiliu Lechințan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Virgil Lixandru breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Tudor Gheordunescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC BaLiSt's supporters rose to their feet, but Tudor Gheordunescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Virgil Lixandru breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cornel Bourceanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonard Baran having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cornel Bourceanu in the 74th minute of play forced FC BaLiSt's goalkeeper Leonard Baran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 75th minute, Horaţiu Tinu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Juventus PTM's Virgil Lixandru proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Juventus PTM from getting a goal against them. Virgil Lixandru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ionuț Vizitiu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 88th minute, Pompiliu Lechințan made a precise shot to the right of Virgil Lixandru. Juventus PTM's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. In the 95th minute, Ionuț Vizitiu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The FC BaLiSt supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FC BaLiSt would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
