Cazimir Gogu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 10 minutes of play, FC BaLiSt's Pompiliu Lechințan made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Francisc Rădulescu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Nicodim Tăcutu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Leonard Baran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Victor Frențiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. The Owls's Francisc Rădulescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ionuț Vizitiu in the 27th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, The Owls's goalkeeper Francisc Rădulescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ionuț Vizitiu. With an all-out effort, FC BaLiSt's Francisc Rădulescu threw himself towards the right post 34 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Victor Frențiu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 41st match minute, The Owls was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marius Proca to maneuver through the defense. In the 43rd minute, Ionuț Vizitiu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bogdan Vornicu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonard Baran having to interfere. In the 46th minute, one of The Owls:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for The Owls. The Owls:s Francisc Rădulescu showed great skill when he stopped Ionuț Vizitiu:s penalty. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pompiliu Lechințan to strike the kick off in the second half. Francisc Rădulescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ionuț Vizitiu, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. The supporters of FC BaLiSt booed when The Owls was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marius Proca didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Emilian Gherghescu fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored The Owls's protests and gave Emilian Gherghescu a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to The Owls getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Emilian Gherghescu hit a great ball. Francisc Rădulescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victor Frențiu in the 61st minute of play. Bogdan Vornicu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Leonard Baran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nicodim Tăcutu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, FC BaLiSt's Leonard Baran got control of the ball when Nicodim Tăcutu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Emilian Gherghescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FC BaLiSt's Traian Agusoaei was substituted for Costel Roşculeţ. 81 minutes into the game, Bogdan Vornicu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. The Owls's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ionuț Vizitiu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. FC BaLiSt's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
