Juventus PTM's Virgil Lixandru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marius Ganea in the 27th minute of play. After 39 minutes, Marius Ganea made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Juventus PTM's Virgil Lixandru tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When Cornel Bourceanu fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Juventus PTM's protests and gave Cornel Bourceanu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 60th match minute, Juventus PTM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cornel Bourceanu to maneuver through the defense. FC Fanaticii made a substitution. Șerban Nanu replaced Marius Ganea. With a little luck, Juventus PTM's Virgil Lixandru got control of the ball when Șerban Nanu tried to sneak it across the goal line. 76 minutes into the match, Ivan Şumălan notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of FC Fanaticii's Emanuel Giurcă.
