The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Alexandria Team08 booed when A4p FC Gad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Horea Macamete didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adrian Penciulescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Corneliu Macamete tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Corneliu Macamete showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Petru Isopescu in the 57th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 59 minutes, Ciprian Enache successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Corneliu Macamete came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by A4p FC Gad's Petru Isopescu. But to his dismay, Petru Isopescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. A4p FC Gad made a substitution. Iosif Bernea replaced Horea Macamete. Corneliu Macamete showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Petru Isopescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. After 68 minutes Alexandria Team08's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Octav Cordescu who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Alexandria Team08's goalie and right to Iosif Bernea. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Alexandria Team08's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. A collision led to A4p FC Gad getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Adrian Penciulescu hit a great ball. Viorel Firu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 71st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ciprian Enache. A4p FC Gad's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 76 minutes into the game, Codruț Giurăscu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Alexandria Team08's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave A4p FC Gad the free kick. The A4p FC Gad manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Alexandria Team08 to win.
