The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Petru Chirea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mugurel Seţeanu was a little too slow when Olimpiu Teodorescu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 7th minute. The score was now 1-0. The Valar's Mugurel Seţeanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vintilă Bădescu in the 11th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudiu Becheanu in the 13th minute of play forced FC Cosula-BTF-'s goalkeeper Ilie Brumaru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in The Valar fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 13th minute. Penalty! After 16 minutes of play, FC Cosula-BTF-'s Aurel Lăceanu made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mugurel Seţeanu was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 21 played minutes The Valar got a freekick which was hit by Claudiu Becheanu. Mugurel Seţeanu made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Ciprian Gaiță sent off a good shot on target. Ciprian Gaiță charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ciprian Gaiță the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 27th match minute, FC Cosula-BTF- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ciprian Gaiță to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ciprian Gaiță got free with Mugurel Seţeanu in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 31st minute of the match, Vintilă Bădescu got a very nice opportunity to score, but Mugurel Seţeanu was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. When Horia Boerescu fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored The Valar's protests and gave Horia Boerescu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 35th match minute, The Valar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Horia Boerescu to maneuver through the defense. Ciprian Gaiță fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mugurel Seţeanu having to interfere. After a rather tough play, The Valar's Claudiu Becheanu got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Aurel Lăceanu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 43rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Mugurel Seţeanu. The Valar's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The Valar's Mugurel Seţeanu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 48th minute of the match, managed to save The Valar from getting a goal against them.

In the 94th minute, Vintilă Bădescu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mugurel Seţeanu was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. FC Cosula-BTF- had won after a very even match.
