The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Ştefan Secară had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. Calistrat Bara stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cornel Surdilă's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cornel Surdilă in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Calistrat Bara saved -BZF- Barca de Buzau from getting behind. When -BZF- Barca de Buzau's Ovidiu Pătrașcu in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ninjas in Pyjamas's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cornel Surdilă in the 35th minute of play forced -BZF- Barca de Buzau's goalkeeper Calistrat Bara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, -BZF- Barca de Buzau's Ovidiu Pătrașcu got a free kick in the 36th minute. In the 38th minute Cornel Surdilă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Calistrat Bara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Petre Izbașa kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Ninjas in Pyjamas's Vali Măcrinici played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ovidiu Pătrașcu in the 42nd minute of play. Eduard Nechifor got a throw-in 46 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Codruț Ichimescu.

If Codruț Ichimescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 55 minutes into the game, Eduard Nechifor was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. -BZF- Barca de Buzau's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ninjas in Pyjamas the free kick. Cornel Surdilă charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cornel Surdilă the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Ninjas in Pyjamas getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Cornel Surdilă hit a great ball. António Silva's late challenge caught a -BZF- Barca de Buzau's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. António Silva helped the player get up and apologised. In the 59th match minute, Ninjas in Pyjamas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by António Silva to maneuver through the defense. When Horea Zâncă fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ninjas in Pyjamas's protests and gave Horea Zâncă a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 60th minute of the game. One of Ninjas in Pyjamas:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of -BZF- Barca de Buzau:s goal. The referee gave -BZF- Barca de Buzau a penalty, 62 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Codruț Ichimescu, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ninjas in Pyjamas's Vali Măcrinici. 1-0. In the 66th minute Cornel Surdilă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Calistrat Bara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, -BZF- Barca de Buzau's Codruț Ichimescu got a free kick in the 67th minute. The long shot by Eliodor Dan in the 68th minute really tested Calistrat Bara's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. If Valeriu Băcioiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Șerban Bălcescu kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. 76 minutes into the game, Ninjas in Pyjamas's Cornel Surdilă nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Calistrat Bara made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. António Silva was shown his second yellow card after 84 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. António Silva kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. In the 86th minute of the match Eduard Nechifor sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vali Măcrinici skillfully saved the ball. Calistrat Bara made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Ştefan Secară sent off a good shot on target.
