After a rather tough play, PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Emanuel Dacian got a free kick in the 6th minute. If Damian Cârlan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Vlad Covrig played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mihnea Martinaș in the 10th minute of play. Șerban Moșanu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Calistrat Şerbănescu in the 14th minute. Marcu Hagi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vlad Covrig read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. The corner led BlueLionesse's Narcis Inculeț to fire away a dangerous shot which Vlad Covrig despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Leonard Burghelea hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. In the 19th minute, Calistrat Şerbănescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Damian Cârlan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Șerban Moșanu having to interfere. Vlad Covrig showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mihnea Martinaș in the 33rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, BlueLionesse's Marcu Hagi got a free kick in the 37th minute. 39 minutes into the match, BlueLionesse's goalkeeper Șerban Moșanu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Calistrat Şerbănescu. A collision led to BlueLionesse getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Constantin Baican hit a great ball.

Petrică Pârcălab came free with the goalkeeper in the 55th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Vlad Covrig could save by the left post. In the 58th minute, Eric Astafei hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 60 minutes into the match, PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's goalkeeper Vlad Covrig had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcu Hagi. The supporters of PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca booed when BlueLionesse was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rareș Vuşcan didn't get a good kick on the ball. BlueLionesse's Șerban Moșanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damian Cârlan in the 66th minute of play. Vlad Covrig took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rareș Vuşcan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 74 minutes into the game, Calistrat Şerbănescu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave BlueLionesse the free kick. The supporters of BlueLionesse booed when PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Calistrat Şerbănescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 79 minutes into the match, Damian Cârlan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Șerban Moșanu. BlueLionesse's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Damian Cârlan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Damian Cârlan might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Șerban Moșanu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Damian Cârlan ran back to his position shaking his head. Olimpiu Fecioru kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Marcu Hagi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Damian Cârlan's late challenge caught a BlueLionesse's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Damian Cârlan helped the player get up and apologised. In the 93rd minute, Damian Cârlan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. BlueLionesse's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
