Spectators: 206 (Terracing: 155, Seating: 47, VIP seats: 4) Paralia Athens's Manuel Marghescu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Petru Moldoveanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Marian Ciolpan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gelu Verzea kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Cazimir Stănciulaş was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 7th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 10 minutes into the game, Manuel Marghescu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Felix Anton was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Marian Ciolpan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgar Arghir, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. When F.C.BARLAD's Petru Moldoveanu in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 27th minute, Petru Moldoveanu made a precise shot to the right of Marian Ciolpan. Paralia Athens's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the 31st minute of the match Paralia Athens got a corner. F.C.BARLAD's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mihăiţă Cobâlcescu ran over to the corner to take the kick. After 35 minutes, Manuel Marghescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Paralia Athens and the F.C.BARLAD players grew even worse after the yellow card. Manuel Marghescu kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marian Aliuta in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marian Ciolpan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 39 played minutes Paralia Athens got a freekick which was hit by Iordache Ţugui. Marian Ciolpan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Petru Moldoveanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Adrian Mercea's late challenge caught a Paralia Athens's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adrian Mercea helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Paralia Athens booed when F.C.BARLAD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrian Mercea didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Petru Moldoveanu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Paralia Athens's Marian Ciolpan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Petru Moldoveanu in the 53rd minute of play. Petru Moldoveanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Marian Ciolpan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Marian Aliuta managed to get in a good position for a shot. F.C.BARLAD's supporters rose to their feet, but Marian Aliuta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marian Ciolpan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marian Ciolpan made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Petru Moldoveanu sent off a good shot on target. In the 64th match minute, Paralia Athens was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iordache Ţugui to maneuver through the defense. F.C.BARLAD's Cazimir Stănciulaş shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 65th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Marian Ciolpan but with some difficulty. A hard shot 69 in the game by Petru Moldoveanu from a close distance when the talented Marian Ciolpan managed to make a qualified save. Paralia Athens's players were relieved. 74 minutes into the game, Ionuț Marin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Felix Anton was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Marian Ciolpan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Petru Moldoveanu in the 88th minute of play. Marian Aliuta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
