In the 18th match minute, WKS Śląsk Wrocław was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robert Lewandowski to maneuver through the defense. Sylwester Smuskiewicz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Radomir Zatorski in the 25th minute of play. Teofil Mockiewicz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Sylwester Smuskiewicz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Grzegorz Bielatowicz kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karol Dyczkowski couldn't finish the play. Radomir Zatorski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sylwester Smuskiewicz having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edgar Podowski during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
