Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gwidon Chowaniec in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Napoleon Furgat prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Damian Kornecki came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Brunatni Bełchatów fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Damian Kornecki couldn't finish the play. Brunatni Bełchatów were furious when Grzegorz Ochylski was red carded, 37 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Brunatni Bełchatów fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 37th minute. Penalty! Szczepan Ogrodowicz charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
