In the 24th minute, Iwan Ledochowski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sebastian Gdowik received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Jakub Furlit tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alfred Badanowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernard Labus having to interfere. Bernard Labus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Boleslaw Mindykowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. A collision led to Legia Warszawa getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Alfred Badanowski hit a great ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alfred Badanowski was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sebastian Gdowik got free with Jakub Furlit in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Krzysztof Dobrzechowski might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bernard Labus. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Krzysztof Dobrzechowski ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 77th minute, Tanek Jandryca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Krzysztof Dobrzechowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernard Labus having to interfere. If Robert Miecznikowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 90 minutes, Alfred Badanowski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Legia Warszawa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfred Badanowski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Krzysztof Dobrzechowski struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Bernard Labus didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Legia Warszawa.
