The audience thought a goal was coming when Zygmunt Ogrodowicz got free with Jedrzej Soszka in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 9 minutes, Zbyszek Banan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Zagórna and the THE FAVOURITES players grew even worse after the yellow card. Zbyszek Banan hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Zygmunt Ogrodowicz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Jedrzej Soszka made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cyryl Sitko in the 30th minute of play. The supporters of Zagórna booed when THE FAVOURITES was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wasyl Lato didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 33rd match minute, THE FAVOURITES was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stanislaw Iwaszko to maneuver through the defense. Zagórna's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomasz Petka was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zagórna's Teofil Domeracki was substituted for Jedrzej Lichucki. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When Edward Dziewulski fell near the penalty area in the 97th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zagórna's protests and gave Edward Dziewulski a yellow card for diving instead. In the 97th match minute, Zagórna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edward Dziewulski to maneuver through the defense.
