After some careless play in the Stal Rzeszów defense, Mariusz Modliszewski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lucjan Dulemba. The Stal Rzeszów fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lucjan Dulemba should have stopped the shot. When Lech Max's Mariusz Modliszewski in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariusz Modliszewski in the 44th minute of play forced Stal Rzeszów's goalkeeper Lucjan Dulemba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Lech Max were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wit Witkowski was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Lech Max's Adam Wachna ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Lucjan Dulemba. Lucjan Dulemba yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. Lucjan Dulemba was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Mariusz Modliszewski showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 55 minute of play. Lucjan Dulemba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariusz Modliszewski, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. The audience was convinced that Mariusz Modliszewski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lucjan Dulemba was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. Adam Wachna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucjan Dulemba having to interfere. Lech Max's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
