After 12 minutes, Wincent Prusinowski mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MZ Wodzisław Śląski and the KS Ruch Chorzów players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Boruc Szostak fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MZ Wodzisław Śląski's protests and gave Boruc Szostak a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to MZ Wodzisław Śląski getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Boruc Szostak hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in MZ Wodzisław Śląski's zone, Teobald Dyczkowski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. After 36 played minutes MZ Wodzisław Śląski got a freekick which was hit by Rafal Zawada. In the 39th minute, Gilbert Kissel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jan Solarek was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Karol Kornatowski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Jan Solarek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Boleslaw Chlapowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stefan Gamza in the 55th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in KS Ruch Chorzów's zone, Konstanty Winnicki stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Karol Kornatowski received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jan Solarek came out and tried to block the shot, but Karol Kornatowski slotted it home off the left post making it 2-3 in the 60th minute. Jan Solarek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karol Kornatowski in the 64th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaroslaw Furtok in the 65th minute of play forced MZ Wodzisław Śląski's goalkeeper Jan Solarek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing KS Ruch Chorzów would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
