An unexpectedly hard shot by Otto Klepp in the 6th minute of play forced Legia Stavanger's goalkeeper Stein Naas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kenneth Friis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Markus Tømmervik, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Håvard Opdal in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kenneth Friis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jon-Erik Boge in the 12th minute of play forced Rakkestad IF's goalkeeper Kenneth Friis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 12th match minute, Rakkestad IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Linus Todal to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edvin Vedå during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Legia Stavanger getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Edvin Vedå hit a great ball. In the 19th match minute, Rakkestad IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Linus Todal to maneuver through the defense. Kenneth Friis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jon-Erik Boge in the 20th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jon-Erik Boge in the 22nd minute of play forced Rakkestad IF's goalkeeper Kenneth Friis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 34 played minutes Otto Klepp rounded Legia Stavanger's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1. Hans-Petter Krogh might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Stein Naas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hans-Petter Krogh ran back to his position shaking his head. Stein Naas came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Rakkestad IF's Otto Klepp. But to his dismay, Otto Klepp quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. After 45 played minutes Rakkestad IF got a freekick which was hit by Jeppe Benjaminsen. In the 47th minute, Christian Halstensen reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Stein Naas. The goal made the score 3-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Christian Halstensen to strike the kick off in the second half. Linus Todal took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Stein Naas. Stein Naas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. When Jon-Erik Boge fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Legia Stavanger's protests and gave Jon-Erik Boge a yellow card for diving instead. In the 59th minute, Jon-Erik Boge hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 61st minute, Christian Halstensen made a precise shot to the right of Stein Naas. Legia Stavanger's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. Steffen Haukås's late challenge caught a Legia Stavanger's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Steffen Haukås helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Rakkestad IF fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 74th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Legia Stavanger a penalty, 76 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Thorbjørn Stølen, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Rakkestad IF's Kenneth Friis. 6-2. After 78 played minutes Rakkestad IF got a freekick which was hit by Christian Halstensen. Legia Stavanger's Stein Naas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Linus Todal in the 83rd minute of play. Stein Naas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Linus Todal in the 87th minute of the match. Stein Naas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Linus Todal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stein Naas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Otto Klepp, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Thorbjørn Stølen kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. There was no doubt that Rakkestad IF were the better team. Rakkestad IF's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
