Spectators: 159 (Terracing: 120, Seating: 36, VIP seats: 3) In the 3rd minute, Gino Nölte made a precise shot to the right of Bert Vihmann. FC Hugo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 6 minutes into the game, Luis Nicolin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rot-Weiss-Essen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Hugo the free kick. After 6 played minutes Rot-Weiss-Essen got a freekick which was hit by Luis Nicolin. Elmar Koppelmaa hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Halil Winskowsky managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rot-Weiss-Essen's supporters rose to their feet, but Halil Winskowsky was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bert Vihmann breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bert Vihmann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Radomil Gabler in the 14th minute of the match. Rot-Weiss-Essen were awarded a corner in the 15th minute after FC Hugo's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Hansjörg Selke took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Gino Nölte managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Bert Vihmann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gino Nölte in the 20th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kusti Olev in the 22nd minute of play forced Rot-Weiss-Essen's goalkeeper Johann Scheuerer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th match minute, Rot-Weiss-Essen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hans Schrader to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Rot-Weiss-Essen's zone, Kusti Olev stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Johann Scheuerer came out of the goal and Kusti Olev tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 27th minute Kusti Olev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johann Scheuerer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Rot-Weiss-Essen's Radomil Gabler in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Hugo's goalie prevented a goal. After 33 minutes of play, Rot-Weiss-Essen's Halil Winskowsky made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bert Vihmann was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bert Vihmann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Halil Winskowsky in the 37th minute of the match. 39 minutes into the match, Halil Winskowsky had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bert Vihmann. FC Hugo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Halil Winskowsky was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Bert Vihmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gino Nölte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hannes Pulver made a kick off. After some careless play in the Rot-Weiss-Essen defense, Hannes Pulver kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Johann Scheuerer. The Rot-Weiss-Essen fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Johann Scheuerer should have stopped the shot. Gino Nölte hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. In the 70th minute, Rot-Weiss-Essen's Halil Winskowsky ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Bert Vihmann. Bert Vihmann yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-5. Bert Vihmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gino Nölte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 80th minute Gino Nölte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bert Vihmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Rot-Weiss-Essen's Gino Nölte ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Bert Vihmann. Bert Vihmann yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-6. Bert Vihmann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gino Nölte, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. 87 minutes into the match, Radomil Gabler notched a goal, 2-7, to the right of FC Hugo's Bert Vihmann. Bert Vihmann was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Bert Vihmann made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gino Nölte in the 94th minute. Bert Vihmann came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Rot-Weiss-Essen's Halil Winskowsky. But to his dismay, Halil Winskowsky quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-8.
