After 8 played minutes Club Atlético de Newell got a freekick which was hit by Seb Newman. 13 minutes into the game, Darius Astridge was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ashley Wells was the one to do the kick off. With an all-out effort, Real Death Ducks's Matthew Edwards threw himself towards the right post 58 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Lawrence Banks, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Philip Bakewell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ronan Marler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Seb Newman in the 70th minute of the match. After 71 played minutes Club Atlético de Newell got a freekick which was hit by Jay Holmes. A collision led to Real Death Ducks getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Neil Aldridge hit a great ball. Real Death Ducks's Ronan Marler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ashley Wells in the 76th minute of play. If Jay Holmes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lawrence Banks in the 86th minute of play forced Club Atlético de Newell's goalkeeper Matthew Edwards to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Philip Bakewell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match was over Real Death Ducks could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Club Atlético de Newell throughout the match.
