SV Bad Harzburg's Gerald Zapf proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save SV Bad Harzburg from getting a goal against them. When Frido Sandkühler fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SV Bad Harzburg's protests and gave Frido Sandkühler a yellow card for diving instead. After 21 played minutes SV Bad Harzburg got a freekick which was hit by Frido Sandkühler. After 25 minutes of play, SV Bad Harzburg's Emanuel Schrappe made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wilhelm Velde was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gerald Zapf didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leon Foss went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. In the 36th minute, Rouven Knabe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emanuel Schrappe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Wilhelm Velde tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Loy Köhncke kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. After some careless play in the SV Bad Harzburg defense, Ole-Gunnar Sjøli kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gerald Zapf. The SV Bad Harzburg fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gerald Zapf should have stopped the shot. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Herwig Fehr took a quick shot and it went in 4-2 without a chance for Wilhelm Velde to make any attempt to save it. Totti FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of SV Bad Harzburg for a fine match.
