Shane Steadman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jimi Okley, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. With his leg Shane Steadman managed to avoid a goal in the 20thth minute, when Holmkjar Hotspurs's Olfert Lodian fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Shane Steadman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olfert Lodian in the 23rd minute of play. After 23 minutes, Nicholas Shephard mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Garlic Eaters and the Holmkjar Hotspurs players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Holmkjar Hotspurs booed when Garlic Eaters was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicholas Shephard didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jimi Okley in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Shane Steadman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Vilfred Bornkessel took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Shane Steadman. Shane Steadman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Olfert Lodian put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Shane Steadman. Holmkjar Hotspurs's Reinhard Buddegård was substituted for Walther Heltbroe. Louie Barfield charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Louie Barfield the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
